This year  will mark the  the 48th time that Kwanzaa, which will be celebrated here in the USA.

The “Holiday”  is actually a 7 day festivel that starts every year on December 26  and ends on January 1 amd was originally established by a Dr. Maulana Karenga.

Kwanzaa  is secular, not religious, and aims to strengthen African cultural identity and community values while providing a spiritual alternative to the commercialism of Christmas. It is a A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture and one of the symbols of Kwanzaa are the seven candles of Kwanzaa  and are an illumination that warms the heart of our winter celebration.

Happy Kwanzaa to all my readers who observe this event.
